New Trends in Nutrients

When it comes to shopping for and purchasing rice, there are a lot of factors that play a part in getting that bag of rice from the shelf to the cart and ultimately, the table. This month, we’re going to break down and explore the factors that drive consumers when they’re stocking up with items from the center of the store.

It’s no surprise that taste and price still rank as the highest factors when it comes to shoppers. Shoppers want the meals they prepare to be high quality and packed with flavor, but they also seek out that quality at price points that don’t break the bank.

As we delve a little deeper into what drives the shopper’s rice purchasing habits, we find that the other highest-ranking factors are ease of preparation, convenience and nutrition. The good news is that Riceland rice checks off all of those boxes when it comes to the claims shoppers are looking for that will ultimately result in more purchases.

Our recent study of 2,503 consumers revealed that most consumers view rice as a healthy ingredient that also provides key vitamins and nutrients.
